Lodging on the ranch

The Barn

Hunters and guests stay in “The Barn”.  Once an old hay barn, it has been renovated to comfortable living quarters.  The old 2x4 beams which stretch from wall to wall near the ceiling, (and actually measure 2” by 4”) were left exposed.  The Barn sleeps 5 to 7 people on a queen size bed, double sleeper sofa, twin bunk beds, and a twin trundle.  It has a full bath and semi wrap around porch.  This lodge is ideal for family outings or couple getaways.  There is no phone or cable tv to bother you.  There is a tv/vcr combo if you just have to have a video fix.

Wildlife, like deer and turkey, can often be seen from the lodge.  Among other species, we have year round eastern blue birds that nest at the lodge in old fence posts.  Other species found: tufted titmouse, eastern phoebe, western king bird, brown towhee, rufus sided towhee, painted buntings, wrens, mocking birds, many sparrows, golden-fronted wood peckers, red-tailed hawks, merlins, kestrels, and other species.
